Mr. Good Buys was a home center chain in the New York and Philadelphia areas founded in 1984, the same year as rivals The Home Depot, Builders Square, and Home Quarters (HQ). Information on these stores is VERY scarce, but I do know they “said goodbye” in 1991. Their only store I know of is in Springfield, PA. The gigantic store is now subdivided into BJ’s and Forman Mills. Forman Mills is now closing this store after they lost their lease.
